Rodney Britt

PREACHING MINISTER

Rodney and his family moved in the summer of 2022 to work with Northside. His wife, Paula, taught math for many years and their daughter, Hailey, is a freshman at Harding University. Rodney has a love for all things music and loves to sing and worship. He has served churches in Alabama, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Texas and now Indiana. He continues to be a part of the singing group Acappella whenver his schedule permits. For the last several years, he has done mission work in Ghana and Togo, West Africa. He has a passion to preach the gospel and see others give their lives to Christ, especially in places where many have never heard the good news.

Widlord Thomas

YOUTH MINISTER

Widlord was born in Ganthier, Haiti. He spent a large portion of his childhood at the Sonlight Children’s Home, run by his foster mother, an American missionary, Roberta Edwards. Widlord was able to come to the U.S. in 2010, where he received his high school diploma and then his BA in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University. Widlord met his wife, Karen, right before graduating Freed-Hardeman and after marrying, they returned to Haiti to serve the Lord in missions. Widlord and Karen have worked in various capacities of Christian service, for a multitude of years. Together they have two sons and a daughter, Widlord David, Robert and Grace.

Krista Bates

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Krista grew up in South Zanesville, Ohio. She was baptized into Christ in 1984 and considers Lancaster Church of Christ her original home congregation.

Krista has been the administrative assistant for Northside since June of 2008.

Krista and her husband, David, have four grown children. Three sons, whom are married and one daughter; Rayel who lives at home. They are also blessed with nine grandchildren. Krista is actively involved in the WINGS program at Northside and enjoys scrapbooking, spending time with family and friends, watching movies with her daughter Rayel, reading, and golf.

Rayel Bates

office assistant

Rayel grew up in Lancaster, Ohio. She was baptized into Christ in 2000 and considers Lancaster Church of Christ her original home congregation.

Rayel has been an office assistant since March of 2008.

Rayel enjoys crochet, bowling, watching movies and spending time with family.

Elders

Elders are responsible for the spiritual oversight of the church, teaching, shepherding its people and modeling for them the Christian life.
